| For the 2008-2009 school year we would like to bring the yearbook to the fifth graders by starting a journalism and design club. This club would meet once every two weeks or once a week (if necessary for deadlines) in the Sacred Heart library. The objective is not only to teach the fifth graders a trade but to give them a sense of ownership in their yearbook. Katy Boothe and Michelle Maffei will be the yearbook advisors and will be teaching the kids skills such as layout design and photography. Student Coordinator
The Student Coordinator is responsible for making sure all the student photo’s are
placed and named correctly.
Parent / Teacher Coordinator
The Parent/Teacher Coordinator is responsible for getting photo’s and orders from
parents. They will also act as a liaison between the journalism staff and the
teachers.
Section Editor
the Section Editors oversee everything that is needed for there section of the
yearbook (text, photos, etc...)
Photo Editor
The Photo Editor is responsible for selecting the photos turned in by parents and
staff for each section. They will also act as a photographer.
Photographer
The Photographer is responsible for capturing events throughout the year
designated to them by the staff.
Designer
The Designer will come up and create the overall design of the cover and inside
pages in the yearbook.
In Addition
We have also decided to add the DVD Yearbook to our program. We will have
these additional positions available.
Video Designer
The DVD will have it’s own separate look that coordinates with the theme of the
yearbook so a separate designer
will be needed.
Video Editor
The Video Editor will be responsible for choosing the additional photo’s that will go
on the DVD and oversee the
production.
Video Production
This position is were the DVD comes to life.
